Natalie Rae designs clothing that is cool with a conscience, creating wearable pieces with detailed craft elements and a low-key emphasis on sustainability. Natalie has a passion for creating beautiful clothing that to the consumer is ethical-by-chance — clothing that inspires aesthetically, but which also happens to be principled.
All pieces from Natalie Rae's collections are produced in an ethical environment, where employees are treated properly and are paid a fair wages. Embroidered pieces are produced in India, in a beautiful modern facility in Kolkata and all other pieces are produced locally in London, England.
Natalie Rae strives to use only sustainable materials throughout each collection. If the fabric is not sustainable, which is rare, it will always be manufactured ethically.
Bit about Natalie Rae
Natalie Rae’s 2010 graduate collection from London Collage of Fashion garnered acclaim throughout the fashion industry. Press included Vogue.com, September 2010 Italian Vogue’s New Design Talent supplement, Fashion 156, Amelia’s Magazine, WGSN, and ecouterre.com. Natalie was shortlisted for the WGSN Global Fashion Awards 2010 for Most Creative Student Collection and the Wolf and Badger Graduate Awards 2010. In 2011, was the first winner of the CFE Fashion Bootcamp.
Born and raised in San Diego, California and now living in London.
