Quite a few of us will be finding ourselves working from home for the moment, and some of us may need a little extra motivation to get cracking (especially when bed is literally five steps away.) We’ve found one of the best ways to get into the WFH mindset is to prepare for the day like any other workday: have a good early start, eat breakfast, wash and get dressed.
Of course, if you’re working remotely, you don’t have to go full on suited-and-booted. We reckon the WFH wardrobe test is if you’re so comfy that you don’t want to put on your PJs *but* you also don’t feel like you have to immediately change if you have an Amazon delivery.
If you’re looking for some inspo, here are some of our favourite work from home styles. These will get you in the right headspace and ready for a super productive day.
1. The Big Comfy Black Jumper
It’s an immediate WFH winner: our Black Crew Neck Jumper has all the comfort a big oversized knit, but it’s structured cuffs and waistband means it’s just that little bit smarter. Snuggly but also wearing proper grown up clothes? It’s a yes from us.
2. Black Jeggings (AKA Leggings in Disguise)
They *may* look like jeans, but these bad boys have all the stretch and comfort of your favourite pair of leggings. Pyjama bottoms who?
3. The Smart Jumper Dress
This jumper dress is a one-and-done. Simply throw on and… yup, you’re ready for work. With a slightly oversized fit, we bet you’ll feel comfy wearing this at your desk all day (whether you’re working at your dining table or are on your sofa).
4. The Relaxed Fit Top
If you’re working at home, don’t feel like you can’t wear something that makes you feel happy. Styles that are a little bit playful, like this leopard print top, can be just the thing to bring a smile to your face. And a good mood equals better concentration.
5. The Denim Shirt
Equilibrium of smart and casual has been achieved with this denim shirt. It has the cut of something you might actually wear to the office, but in a material that’s a bit more relaxed. Also, an added benefit of denim is that it’ll keep you warm (so you don’t need to think about layering up).
If you find yourself working remotely, getting dressed not only means you’re in a more productive mindset, but can be just the tonic to raise your spirits. You can still feel good staying at home.
