Cannes 2016 – Our Favourite Red Carpet Looks

With this years Cannes Film Festival well underway, the ladies continue to step out in style (nothing new there). Many moments throughout the event have become topics of conversation; Blake Lively’s deceiving bump (it seems to come and go!), Woody Allens past seems to be acquiring new attention… and Julia Roberts stepping out barefoot for women, are just a few of the trending occurrences.

There have been some memorable fashion moments at this years Cannes, and what better way to start the day than gushing over the belles of the ball?

Model of the moment Bella Hadid (guess it runs in the family?) turned heads in this Cavalli Couture gown for the premiere of Café Society.

Vanessa Paradis looked beautiful in an Elie Saab A/W’16 design. We are loving her choice of polka dots and lace, it’s a definite YES in our books. She arrived with her daughter Lily-Rose Depp, who also stole the show with some alternative frocks for the event.

Old pals, Julia Roberts and George Clooney whipped up a storm on the red carpet. With Roberts going barefoot in her Armani Privé off the shoulder gown. This was supposedly in response to a group of older women being rejected from screenings last year for not wearing the ‘correct’ attire, which in this case meant wearing flats instead of heels. Julia wasn’t standing for that!

Naomi Watts looked pretty in lilac in her embellished Armani Privé gown! Pastel colours are a thing now, with the 90’s ‘baby’ colours coming back around, check out this lilac frock which is sure to raise eyebrows, in nothing but a good way!

A fresh faced Cheryl Cole looked drop dead gorgeous in Zuhair Murad jumpsuit, as she cosied up to her new beau Liam Payne, from One Direction. Such cuties, we like it!

Kristen Stewart along with her co-stars and old friends, Blake Lively and Jesse Einsberg (can you spot him?), hit the red carpet to promote their new Woody Allen movie, Café Society. Kristens looks attracted much attention, as she put an alternative twist on her Cannes outfits. In this shot she is wearing Chanel and we love it, as Karl Lagerfelds muse, what do you expect?

Another couple we just can’t get enough of, George and Amal Clooney. Looking ever much in love, a possible wardrobe malfunction was quickly averted as the pair posed for the paps. She stunned in an Atelier Versace gown, Jimmy Choo heels and Cartier jewels. Lucky gal!

Who else is in love with Blake Lively and her fashion sense? And maybe her husband? The soon to be mum for a second time looked beautiful in every outfit she wore. This Versace frock was just one of the gorgeous gowns she showcased, while her baby bump mysteriously came and went depending on her ensemble of choice!

Another woman who bounced from one gorgeous outfit to another was the lovely Kirsten Dunst. La belle wore this pink floral Gucci dress for the premiere of Café Society. Another baby colour bouncing back with force!

'Cafe Society' premiere and opening ceremony, 69th Cannes Film Festival, France - 11 May 2016

So, who do you think has been the best dressed so far? They make it so hard to choose…
