De-coding workwear for pre-summer weather

We’re not saying we miss Winter, we’re not. However, there was something kinda great about just chucking a massive coat over anything and skipping out to work. Getting dressed in these indecisive months before summer hits requires a bit more thought. So we’ve been thinking. Scrolling actually, and we’ve found some nice Monday-Friday workwear solutions to get you through those clammy commutes and office air-con problems.

The Little Black Suit

When it’s warm enough to lose your coat, but a few degrees short of going sleeveless, this is the suit we’d recommend. It’s sleek, classic, and doesn’t have a style expiry date. 10/10 would wear again (and again and again).

For unexpected heatwaves

What makes this midi skirt so great (apart from the print) is that it can be easily layered up or down, according to your weather app that morning. Single digits? Chuck a roll neck top and boots on. Mini-heatwave? Grab a black cami and some mules and voila – ready to face the tube. Bonus: it’s worky enough for the office but stylish enough to take for espresso martinis after.

When you’re pub-bound at 5pm

This is a handy shirt to have around when sleeves start to feel excessive. Work it in the office with high-waisted trousers or culottes. Then swap out for jeans or denim cut-offs at the weekend – a talented multi-tasker.

The un-boring blouse

Don’t know about you, but the word “blouse” definitely has a snooze-effect on us. But the Ambre blouse actually has the opposite effect, particularly this fresh pink iteration we’re pairing with white trousers for summer. Perfect for those “Nah, you don’t need a jacket” days.
