So, it’s September.
Summer’s officially over, I guess.
Gone are those halcyon days of park picnics, guaranteed scorchers and trips to the seaside. Now, while I desperately long to wear a strappy white maxi dress again, I’m stuck in awkward layers, unsuitable jackets and ugly tees (ok, that last one’s on me).
In short, I urgently need a wardrobe refresh as we ease into autumn, and I’m craving comfort and versatility in equal measures. Luckily for me, we’ve compiled a handy list of transitional pieces that’ll see me straight through into October!
Make A Splash!
Still chasing the sun? For al fresco plans, wear this splash-print midi dress with fresh white trainers. Feeling the chill? Layer this cuff-sleeved style over your favourite turtleneck and team with ankle boots and mulled wine.
The Bestselling Blouse
Comfy fits and classic prints? Yes, please! We love pairing this square neck blouse with curve-hugging denim, cute heels and a lightweight jacket. Come autumn, she’ll look just as good wrapped under chunky knits.
This fan-favourite dress pairs bold animal print with a flattering wrap fit. While we long to wear this spotted midi on the beaches of Ibiza, she looks pretty damn good at brunch in Ol’ Blighty. As the days get shorter, just add tights and boots!
It’s written in the stars… that you’ll love this floaty mini! With its relaxed fit and glitzy moon details, this patterned piece has left us a li’l bit starstruck. Best of all, you can wear this standout dress on chilly nights via chunky boots and your fave faux leather jacket.
Meet the Teagan dress, a wear-anywhere wonder that works as well on coffee dates as she does in the club. In September, team this monochrome mini with strappy heels and bold accessories (yep, we’re talking big gold hoops!) When temperatures drop, chuck on heeled boots and an oversized shacket.
